Thamesmead Festival Youth Stage - Wanderlust Hill2023/24/25
Wanderlust Hill was created by the new Bexley-based youth collective The South East Way, working together with artist and musician Rosie Ridgway, as a way to showcase the best of young London talent at this year’s Thamesmead Festival.
The project was initiated by Three Rivers, who brought the group aged 14-16 together and supported them for over 6 months to decide everything about their stage; from what it was called, to how it looked and who performed on it, as well as working with Rosie to learn new skills including set-building and DJing.
Since 2023, Three Rivers have supported The South East Way youth collective to plan, programme, design and manage their own Wanderlust Hill Stage at the annual Thamesmead Festival, where they have showcased the best young London talent to crowds of over 16,000 people, and received national coverage from the BBC and ITV.
Artists who have performed on our stage include Saïna, KdoubleM, Paradox, Tanum Sound System, Breakup Haircut, Ashley Tragic, Taite Imogen, Huru, Lavz and local legend, Jabz.
